As far as the application scope and level of liquid crystal display technology is concerned, active matrix drive technology takes thin film transistor type (TFT) as the mainstream, which is mostly used in notebook computer and animation and image processing products. Pure matrix-driven technology is currently based on twisted nematic vectors (TN) and hypertwisted nematic vectors (STN), which are mainly used in word processors and consumer products. Among them, TFT LCD has higher requirements on capital investment and technology, while TN and STN have lower requirements on technology and capital.
