On April 29, according to Taiwanese media "Economic Daily", Foxconn has begun to produce the iPhone 13 in Brazil, which is the third iPhone production base after mainland China and India.
Foreign media reports pointed out that while the vast majority of Apple's products are assembled in mainland China, Apple's foundry Foxconn is also assembling Apple iPhones in other countries. Now, Foxconn has started producing the iPhone 13 in Brazil, but it seems that the iPhone 13 mini will not be produced locally.
Currently only the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 appears to be assembled at Foxconn Brazil in Jundiai, Sao Paulo.
MacMagazine found that on January 24, 2022, Apple updated the iPhone 13's dossier with Brazil's telecommunications regulator (ANATEL) to include Foxconn Brazil as the product's production base. The documents also confirm that neither the iPhone 13 mini nor 13 Pro models will be assembled in Brazil.
Apple has never assembled any Pro models of iPhones in Brazil, possibly because they are much more expensive and only a handful of people buy them in emerging countries, but affordable models like the iPhone SE and iPhone 11 have Assembled in Brazil.
Brazil has levied high taxes on imported products, including nearly all Apple products, prompting Foxconn to invest in local assembly operations. In addition to Brazil, Apple also started manufacturing the iPhone 13 in India this month.
