HTC HTC hasn't released a phone in a while, or even a flagship for longer. That may change, as the company now has a June 28 launch event where we can finally see a new HTC phone. According to recent rumors, HTC's upcoming smartphone will focus on VR and AR, with deep integration with HTC's own open-source metaverse data platform called Viveverse.

The Viverse phone was supposed to launch in April, but was held back by supply chain issues.

There isn't much information about the upcoming HTC device, other than that it will integrate with the Vive Flow VR headset and possibly have support for augmented reality apps.

HTC has reportedly partnered with Taiwan's Big Brother, Chunghwa Telecom and Far EasTone to offer the headset-compatible smartphone across its portfolio.
